This little man is a drooler (his first tooth just popped up!), and at 6 months is learning to make his way around by happily slithering on his belly :)
If anyone has an Ergo baby carrier, then you know that your wee babe LOVES to suck on the straps. Here's a solution to washing the carrier constantly from drool and spit-up stains (the company also sells these, but they're pricey and the fabric isn't nearly as fun!):
Just un-velcro them and toss them in the laundry!
I got the idea from my friend over at http://www.rickstrewranch.com/2011/01/just-little-something-i-made.html and the tute came from http://www.lubirdbaby.com/2010/06/baby-suckingdrool-pads-for-ergo-baby.html.
The little princess attended her first birthday party recently, so Mama set out to make the newly-turned-three-year-old boy something special:
She's modeling his reversible cape (tute from http://pukingpastilles.com/?p=57). Here's the other side:
After realizing the cape was not staying at our house, she naturally wanted her own, so Mama set out to make a princess (warrior) cape:
With warm weather coming (well, it's here actually...76 today) and finding some cute fabric, I decided to make the little doll a sweet skirt:
It's pretty cute on, but the model was napping when the photo shoot occurred. What have YOU been working on lately? Even a healthy, tasty dinner counts! ;)
LOVE the superhero capes and the skirt for E! I convinced my SIL to make a cape for Noah. He's gonna love it.
ReplyDeleteLinds! look at you, you're so domestic! I love all your crafty re-uses for things, like the bib! I'ma thinkin' I need to get me one o' them fancy sewin' merchines, by golly!
ReplyDeleteYou're so crafty (in a good way I mean :)). Funny that you posted about the capes cuz Ellie has requested to be a super hero at the fall festival this year. I'll definitely be checking out those tutorials. She's going to be "Super Cute."
